- Jointly to Dr. L. M. Manocha (Sardar Patel University,Gujarat) 2001 For his work in the area of carbon-carbon composites and technology for manufacturing carbon products though self sintering route. & Prof. Maheshwar Sharon (IIT,Bombay) For his outstanding work in the area of development of carbon nanotubes and their characterization.
- Dr. V. S. Triphathi (DMSRDE – DRDO) 2003 For his outstanding basic and applied research work in the field of Carbon leading to development and large scale productionof protective devices for protection against Nuclear, Biological and Chemical agents in the country.
- Dr. R. B. Mathur (CSIR-NPL, New Delhi) 2006 For his excellent work on understanding the processing of PAN fibers into Aerospace grade carbon fibers, their composites, advanced carbon products for energy applications namely porous conducting carbon paper and bipolar plate for fuel cells and production of well-defined carbon nanotubes.
- Jointly to Dr. P. K. Jain (ARCI, Hyderabad) 2009 For his significant contribution in the field of carbon/ carbon composites and carbon nanomaterials. & Dr. Gopal Bhatia (CSIR-NPL, New Delhi) For his outstanding contribution in pitch and carbon ceramic materials.
- Dr. S. R. Dhakate (CSIR-NPL, New Delhi) 2015 For his work in the area of development of carbon products in general & in particular carbon-carbon composites fuel tubes for the compact high temperature reactor. Light weight graphite composite bipolar plate for PEM fuel cell, carbon foam for EMI shielding materials & high density isotropic graphite.
- Dr. Kingsuk Mukhopadhya (DMSRDE, Kanpur) 2019 For development of innovative technologies and applications of ‘Carbon Nanomaterials’ needed in critical Defence and National programs in the country. Nano Carbon materials developed by Dr. Mukhopadhya have proved to be vital for quick and efficient removal of Carcinogenic heavy metals and bacteria from the drinking water, particularly Jodhpur desert area as well as for ‘Rotating Structural Components’ for Torpedo propulsion motor for Naval systems.
- Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh (CSIR-NPL, New Delhi) 2023 For his significant contribution in the Synthesis and Application of carbon nanotubes. Some of his notable Achievements are the large scale production of single and multiwalled carbon nanotubes followed by value addition in terms of Developing Bucky paper Sheets and aligned CNT yarns. These Products have been used to demonstrate their great potential in energy storages Devices e.g. high capacity anode materials for Li-ion batteries, Structural composites, efficient EMI Shielding and ballistic protection materials , flexible thermoelectric for energy conversion, conducting wire and improved lightning strike protection composites Besides, he has also Demonstrated high academic excellence , largely responsible in generating knowledge base and skilled manpower in the field of carbon science and technology
